This Pendants design was based on the two trees of the elves, on the doors of Moria, from the JRR Tolkien Book, Lord of the rings .the other elements in the design were for the lady i made it for, 3 stars instead of 7 and she wanted a cat at the base of the trees . other wise this is based on designs from the doors of Moria .

I liked it so much i made it my Id page design .

What material is the pendant made from? Ivory??

The pendant is carved from cow bone,not ivory.

I try very hard to only use those materials that are not harmful to a species like antler which are shed each year and to use cow bone or other animal bone that has been used for food or has died of natural causes, not just killed for its pieces parts.
